Exercising with a back injury

I asked the chiro today what I can do to make my adjustments last longer. It seems that every time I do something even slightly strenuous, my hip hurts again. You know what he said?

  • walking
  • yoga and/or pilates
  • hamstring exercises
  • Edit: And NO sit ups or crunches. “You’ll make it worse,” he said.

I can do that. My mom keeps telling me “You get the same benefits from walking as you do with running, it just takes twice as long.” (She saw or read a study somewhere). I may have to follow her advice on this one. At least until my back is better.

I feel a new exercise plan coming on. What are your favorite yoga videos/routines?
